One of our core specialties at UPL is New Product Development (NPD). Our dedicated NPD team are experienced at bringing new products to market and many of our products launched in the Personal Care and Toiletry sectors have become household names and successful market leaders.
Each year we create between 150 to 200 new product formulations for the personal care and toiletry market, and our products have been successful in winning a number of prestigious consumer awards, with products being recognised in publications such as FHM, Maxim, Cosmopolitan, Pure Beauty, In Style Beauty, Mother & Baby, Hair Magazine, Beauty Bible and Green Beauty Bible.
Typically a client may approach our team with a concept or proven idea, and then we will work closely with them to make their dream a reality.
First, our New Product Development team liaise with the client to understand the business strategy, current stage of lifecycle development and specific new product development requirements. We strive to meet your expectations and develop new products that are tailored to meet those needs. All of our personal care new product development is bespoke and unique to your requirements, rather than an ‘off the shelf’ solution.
We can assist customers throughout all stages of the new product development process – from Concept Development, through Product Development product stability and challenge testing at different temperatures and external Market Testing and user trials if required.
UPL employ an experienced packaging development and procurement team who can also identify and source packaging components as required to meet your marketing objectives.
Our experience of creating new products extends right across the whole personal care market. Examples of the sectors in which our products have won prestigious awards include:
