The Soil Association health and beauty care standards provide the most comprehensive organic standards worldwide for this rapidly growing market sector. The Soil Association standards are technically robust, based on Nordic standards, EC cosmetics directive and EC regulation 2092/91 which governs organic food production and food processing. More consumers look for the Soil Association symbol than any other organic symbol. It is the organic symbol of trust.
Through their not-for-profit business Soil Association Certification Ltd they inspect and award organic certification to farms and businesses that meet their organic standards. The Soil Association symbol on pack is a customer’s guarantee that a product meets the highest standards of sustainability and quality.
UPL have been licensed by the Soil Association for the manufacture of Organic health and beauty care products. The licence was granted after an audit of UPL’s facilities and procedures and reflects the ongoing commitment by UPL towards maintaining standards and continuous improvement.
