  Accordingly, UPL’s fully equipped laboratory complex is manned by accomplished
  and qualified staff, enabling testing and analysis of a vast range of products
  using instruments such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, NIR and UV.

  All raw materials and incoming goods are quarantined and examined by laboratory
  staff to ensure that they comply either with the highest pharmaceutical standards
  or, where relevant, with our own exacting specification criteria.

  It is because we aim to achieve the highest quality that we manufacture personal
  care products using the same strict standards of control and documentation as we
  do for our pharmaceuticals.

  Regular visits by the medicines inspector (appointed by the Medicines and
  Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency), the ISO 9001 Auditor, customer and
  internal audit teams ensure that UPL consistently maintains the highest
  standards of excellence, Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and Good
  Laboratory Practice (cGLP).

  UPL is licensed by the Medicines & Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency
  (MHRA) to produce pharmaceutical products and is accredited by SGS to
  the ISO 9001:2000 quality standard.
